Bondi had no business becoming attorney general in the first place, a point she abundantly made clear during a disastrous testimony where she quite obviously perjured herself. And all to protect elite co-conspirators and patrons of Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious child sex trafficking operation. Enough is enough.

Another text exchange highlighted by lawyers for Martinez showed that when a fellow agent asked Exum if his superiors were being “supportive” after the shooting, Exum replied: “Big time. Everyone has been including Chief Bovino, Chief Banks, Sec Noem and El Jefe (Trump) himself … according to Bovino.” Any questions?

Kentucky Republican and mansplaining enthusiast James Comer responded to Ilhan Omar’s social media jab about Trump and Epstein by summoning some good, old-fashioned xenophobia straight out of the 1950s, telling the Somali-American congresswoman to “keep her mouth shut” and “go back to Somalia.” Rather than address Omar’s actual allegations about Trump’s incredibly problematic connections to the late child sex trafficker, Comer pivoted to unsubstantiated claims about her finances and launched into a xenophobic tirade about “Somali fraud,” apparently believing the best defense against accusations of protecting pedophiles was to change the subject and refocus the attention on his undying commitment to racism and misogyny.

Maduro is still the “legitimate president” of Venezuela, acting leader tells NBC News
Donald Trump will be none to pleased to hear that acting President Delcy Rodríguez sat down with NBC News’ “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker in Caracas — her first interview with an American journalist since assuming office — and flatly declared, “I can tell you President Nicolás Maduro is the legitimate president.” Rodriguez continued, “I will tell you this as a lawyer, that I am. Both President Maduro and Cilia Flores, the first lady, are both innocent.”

Rodriguez was initially highly critical of the Trump regime’s audacious raid and capture that took place on January 3 — an operation that claimed the lives of at least 75 people, including some civilians — but eventually softened her tone and relented to US pressure and demands, primarily regarding the extraction and sale of oil, of which there is a LOT.

Trump Energy Secretary Chris Wright made it clear who’s actually calling the shots in Venezuela and gave away the game on precisely why Trump ordered Maduro’s kidnapping in the first place: “So the Venezuelans are in charge here in Venezuela, but the United States has enormous leverage over the interim authorities in Venezuela — the largest revenue source that funds the government, that funds the government of Venezuela is now controlled by the United States. If they’re driving positive change that benefits Americans and is improving the life opportunities of people in Venezuela, that money will flow. If they steer off that path, we have just simply tremendous leverage.” Something’s gotta give here, and it sure doesn’t sound like anyone in Washington is interested in exercising any restraint.

The con man’s scheme has finally caught the attention of senators on Capitol Hill who’ve rightly characterized the grift as an “outrageous” “shakedown.” Couched as a survey asking true believers if they’d be willing to accept a $2000 rebate check “signed by yours truly,” the email redirects unsuspecting clickers to a fundraising page, because everybody knows it takes money to make money, eh?

While public condemnation from lawmakers is most welcomed, don’t expect the grift to slow down any time soon. The Trump-Vance campaign has literally sent dozens of versions of this very pitch since November, showcasing a level of disdain for the American public unmatched in modern history.

A freshly-appointed US Attorney for the Northern District of New York was abruptly fired by the Trump regime on Wednesday evening, just hours after accepting the post from a panel of federal judges. Donald Kinsella, a veteran prosecutor, had been sworn in by Chief Judge Brenda K Sannes in a private virtual ceremony earlier in the day, only to then receive an email from Morgan Dewitt, a special assistant in the White House personnel office, advising him he was being removed. “Judges don’t pick US Attorneys, POTUS does,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche wrote on X. “See Article II of our Constitution. You are fired, Donald Kinsella.” Huh, funny how they lean on the Constitution when it suits them and flat-out ignore it when it doesn’t.
