VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump makes desperate plea as panic sets in
As his disastrous war in Iran enters a third week with no end in sight, our cognitively hobbled commander-in-chief took to his social media platform and just gave away the game. According to Donald, Iran has been “completely decimated,” BUT we also need the help of the entire world to ensure that Iran — which, again, has been completely decimated — doesn’t use its military might to close the Strait of Hormuz and hold the global energy supply hostage. Got it.
Just so we’re clear: the MAGA cult leader — who returned to power on a faux-populist platform promising “no new wars” — thumbed his nose at the US intelligence community and dove head-first into an audacious Middle East conflict of his own (with an enthusiastic nudge from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, of course). Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan, and a desperate Trump now wants the rest of the world to step in and help clean up his mess. Or else. Always a good sign when you resort to threatening your closest allies, eh?

Trump claims “absolute right” to impose tariffs as he rages against courts in 950-word late-night Truth Social tirade
Having apparently learned nothing from last month’s stinging rebuke from the US Supreme Court, America’s imbecile-in-chief went on yet another late-night, divorced-from-reality Truth Social rant, claiming he had an “absolute right” to unilaterally impose tariffs however he sees fit. The wannabe dictator directly attacked the current high court, calling the justices — three of whom he personally appointed — “completely inept and embarrassing” while also expliciting claiming they granted him phantom tariff powers that were definitely nowhere to be found in their February 20th ruling. Someone at the White House really should take grandad’s phone away after 9pm. This is really getting out of hand.

Virginia voters can stop Trump’s election rigging — and level the playing field
Virginians For Fair Elections Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are trying to rig the 2026 midterms by pressuring red states to redraw congressional maps behind closed doors — cutting voters out of the process and stacking the deck before a single ballot is cast. Virginia has a chance to do something different. A proposed, temporary constitutional amendment would give voters — not politicians — the final say. Under the amendment, proposed congressional maps would be made public, and Virginians would be able to review them and vote on them before any maps take effect. Now, Virginians for Fair Elections is launching a statewide effort to make sure voters know what’s at stake — and to ensure Virginia leads by protecting fair representation instead of following Trump’s rigged playbook. Will you chip in today to help level the playing field and defend our democracy?
Cory Booker calls both Republicans and Democrats “feckless” for ceding war powers to Trump
Democratic Sen. Cory Booker roundly criticized both Republicans and Democrats in Congress on Sunday for being “feckless” in the face of Donald Trump’s runaway authoritarianism. Booker lambasted his colleagues for ceding congressional war powers to the wannabe dictator, warning that their decision could embolden the president to unilaterally attack Cuba, North Korea, and other countries. Trump’s catastrophic war in Iran has entered a third week and already claimed the lives of 13 US service members, prompting Booker to rhetorically ask, “At this magnitude, at this cost, why is Congress just laying down and doing nothing?” Booker said. It’s an important question — and one that will almost certainly go unanswered by a Congress that may or may not have had its spine surgically removed for maximum submissiveness.

Trump lackey identifies new part of the White House to ruin with renovations
Oh, good. Donald’s ongoing crusade to mutilate and remake the White House in his tasteless image is apparently continuing apace, as Rodney Mims Cook, Jr. the recently appointed chairman of the federal Commission of Fine Arts announced plans to target the famed residence’s iconic, 200-year-old columns. Cook reportedly wants to replace the current Ionic columns, which are slender and feature an elegant scroll-like capital, with gaudier Corinthian columns, which are more ornate and align with the MAGA cult leader’s, uh, ostentatious style. No word yet on gold plating, but one can only assume.
Trump snaps at “very obnoxious” reporter who asked about Iran troop deployment
You know things are going really well for our nincompoop-in-chief when simple, straightforward questions about his imperial adventurism are met with elementary ad hominem attacks. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One yesterday, Donald Trump snapped when asked: “Can you explain why you’re sending 5,000 marines and sailors?” It’s a fair question, since the MAGA cult leader has repeatedly told us we’ve already won our war against Iran, having re-obliterated that which we already obliterated once before. Trump ignored the question itself, barking, “You’re a very obnoxious person,” before turning his attention elsewhere.
Reprieve was not on the menu, however, as another reporter pressed the president on his appalling decision to use dead soldiers as marketing props in a weekend fundraising email. For the crime of asking Donald to comment on that morally depraved move, Trump demanded to know who the reporter worked for (ABC News), then declared the network “one of the worst, most fake, most corrupt.” It is so good to be great again.
