Henderson freely admitted that the Trump regime demanded that states turn over sensitive information that officials are “required by law to keep private,” including Social Security numbers, full dates of birth, and driver’s license numbers — and when pressed could not explain why they needed such information. Henderson noted that she and other state officials “were concerned about what they would do with that data.” If Republican officials in the reddest of red states are speaking openly about the threat to American democracy on national television, just imagine what the private conversations must sound like.

One thing is certain, Donald has no intention of quietly accepting a stinging defeat in November. We are in for a very rough ride. Bank on it.
