Top Stories for April 3:

Pete Hegseth ousts top general in middle of Iran war
You know things are going incredibly well at the Department of War Crimes when you feel compelled to FIRE YOUR TOP GENERAL 34 days into a catastrophic war of choice in the Middle East. Pete Hegseth asked Gen. Randy George, the Army’s chief of staff, to step down and retire, more than year before his term was set to expire in 2027. George joins more than a dozen high-ranking military officers who have been unceremoniously fired since Hegseth took the reins at the Pentagon.
It’s almost as if stuffing a presidential cabinet with criminally unqualified TV personalities, podcasters, and red-pilled sycophants is a recipe for one half-baked disaster after another. Almost.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Bondi gets more bad news after firing
Any hopes Pam Bondi had of escaping accountability for orchestrating the DOJ’s unconscionable Epstein files cover-up evaporated as quickly as her employment status yesterday. Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia, the House Oversight Committee’s ranking member, issued a seething statement making it crystal clear that the former attorney general’s deposition on April 14 would proceed as planned.
The statement read: “Attorney General Pam Bondi has been leading a White House cover-up of the Epstein files. She has weaponized the Department of Justice to protect Donald Trump and put survivors in harm’s way by exposing their identities. She will not escape accountability and remains legally obligated to appear before our Committee under oath… Oversight Democrats have been leading serious investigations into Bondi and Secretary Kristi Noem. If they think we are moving on because they were fired, they are gravely mistaken.” See you on the 14th, Pam!

Trump gets nightmare news as his top impeachment witness launches run for Senate
Alexander Vindman for Senate: Alexander Vindman made history as one of the primary witnesses in the first impeachment case against Trump — and now he’s running for Senate so he can hold the wannabe dictator accountable from the halls of Congress. Vindman has vowed to take on “a Republican Party that’s failing to deliver accountability and underwriting chaos and corruption,” but to win in Florida, he’s going to need some help. Can you chip in to help kick-start his run?
Trump called his appointed SCOTUS justices “stupid people”
In a remarkably telling video the White House briefly posted and hastily deleted, Donald Trump claimed that Democratic-appointed judges always vote along ideological lines, but Republican-appointed judges try to prove their independence by ruling against him personally.
Why, you ask? Because they’re “stupid people.” The justices he personally appointed to lifetime seats on the nation’s highest court are “stupid.” Because they asked straightforward questions about his blatantly unconstitutional bid to end birthright citizenship instead of just nodding along like golden retrievers in robes. In the eyes of Trump, agreeing with him makes you a genius, and disagreeing with him makes you…an idiot. Narcissist much?
Trump wants $1.5 TRILLION for defense as Rubio lectures Iran about spending money on its people, not its military
In the span of four days, the Trump regime publicly lectured Iran about its upside-down spending priorities, told Americans we simply don’t have the money to pay for childcare or healthcare because “we’re fighting wars,” AND released a budget proposal requesting $1.5 TRILLION for defense in 2027 — an increase of $500 BILLION from this year’s record-shattering sum. Oh, and Donald wants $200 billion more in supplemental funding for the war he started a month ago without congressional approval.
$700 BILLION more for warmongering and defense spending, but we can’t rub two nickels together for critical healthcare subsidies, SNAP benefits for hungry kids, or childcare assistance for American families struggling to get by. Got it.

Trump vows Iran’s bridges and power stations are “next” unless Tehran agrees to peace deal “FAST”
The 2025 FIFA Peace Prize winner, who is either winding down or ramping up his war on Iran depending on which hour of the day ask him, took to Truth Social last night to casually threatened the nation of 90 million with even more war crimes.
Trump wrote, “Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!” Not that anyone in Donald’s administration cares, but the 1949 Geneva Conventions expressly prohibit attacks on infrastructure deemed “indispensable to the survival of the civilian population” — ya know, like bridges, hospitals, and utility stations.
Drive-by detention: 800 New Yorkers swept up in “collateral” ICE arrests
Trump’s ICE goons have arrested 811 immigrants in New York City since August who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of these “collateral” arrests — as the agency curiously calls them — 85% involved people with no criminal history.
THE CITY had reported on several examples of those arrests, including that of a 28-year-old construction worker on the streets of Corona, Queens while he was headed to work one morning. Agents claimed they had been looking for a neighbor suspected of committing a crime, but they took him instead. To be fair, though, when you look at everyone through Stephen Miller’s hyper-racist white supremacy goggles, any person with a touch more melanin definitely looks like a criminal.
Trump started his day yesterday attacking “dried-up prune” Bruce Springsteen and begging MAGA to boycott his concerts
Seems like things are going really, really well for the president. That he can stay laser focused on the issues that matter most to Americans — even in the midst of a spiraling war in the Middle East that is absolutely walloping the global economy — says so much about his discipline and character.
Hours after delivering a primetime address to a rattled nation to set the record straight on his “little excursion” in Iran and when it might end, our fearless nincompoop-in-chief rose from his slumber the following morning and kicked off his day with a childish tirade attacking Bruce Springsteen for saying not-very-nice things about him at a concert the night before.
Donald thumb-smashed, “Bad and very boring singer Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried-up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a president who won a landslide election, including the popular vote, all seven swing states, and 86 percent of the counties across America.” Then he turned things up to 11, tweet-shouting, “MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!!” What a strange, sad man.
