Major TV networks — including Fox News — decline White House pool duties in protest of press ban
In a truly remarkable development, ALL five major news networks — including Fox News — announced they will decline regular White House pool duties following Donald Trump’s move to ban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the press pool.
Fox News’ Washington bureau chief Bryan Boughton announced this morning that, “effective today, the TV pool will not be covering events designated as pool coverage of the President. This follows the White House’s position preventing CNN from fulfilling its assigned pool duties. There will be no replacement pool put in place.”
Will all major news networks refusing to participate in pool activities, there will be no TV coverage of any White House events today and no coverage of Trump’s upcoming trip to the UN. This is the most effective hardball you could possibly play with the wannabe dictator, whose ego will not be able to go six hours knowing that he isn’t on TV anymore. Your move, Donald.

CNN, MS NOW, and Politico to sue White House over Trump’s press ban
CNN, MS NOW, and Politico announced they are officially suing the White House after wannabe strongman Donald Trump had their reporters’ badges confiscated over the weekend.
The dictator-in-chief declared that he was “proud” to oust the networks for the very serious crime of covering his presidency in a way he did not care for — which, curiously, is precisely the scenario the First Amendment was written to safeguard against.
Various MAGA lackeys dutifully took to the airwaves to explain that muzzling members of the press wasn’t actually a constitutional violation at all and that the press actually has no inherent right to any government facility — including the White House. Something tells us the courts, bound as they are to that pesky Constitution, will have a slightly different take on the matter.

Trump launches Truth Social poll to “rename AI” with options like “Supreme Intelligence” and “Extreme Intelligence”
Donald Trump took time out of his very busy day to announce an incredibly scientific online poll to rename “Artificial Intelligence” something more befitting of its stature. The MAGA cult leader posted, “Many people think that the words ‘Artificial Intelligence’ are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena [sic] would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI).”
In other news, former President Barack Obama spoke at Colgate University on Friday and warned the endless pursuit of ever-greater profits and commercial supremacy could very well accelerate the deployment of autonomous — and incredibly dangerous — AI before adequate regulatory safeguards exist to protect humanity. Obama explained that, while AI could one day cure cancer or develop clean energy, it could also unleash unintended catastrophic harm. “That’s a misalignment between what our society needs and the commercial imperatives that these companies are facing, not because necessarily they’re trying to do bad things, but because they’ve got to justify these valuations.”
But anyway, let’s get back to the super important stuff, like voting on a new name that no one besides Trump is talking about for a technology he definitely does not understand!

ICE agent shoots DoorDash driver during delivery in Austin, sparking new protests
An ICE agent shot and wounded a man working as a DoorDash driver in Austin on Sunday afternoon, in just the latest instance of government aggression in service of Donald Trump’s mass deportation crusade.
Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a Venezuelan national, was working when he was shot once in the torso and rushed to a nearby hospital, his lawyer told reporters. Photos from the scene show a battered Toyota Corolla with what appeared to be two bullet holes in the rear window. The 28 year-old was in a serious but stable condition.
Federal authorities have not yet said what led up to the shooting or whether Garces Perez was a target of ICE. Austin police were not involved in the altercation, and a “very angry” Mayor Kirk Watson has called for an independent, third-party investigation, saying it “would not be appropriate” to let ICE conduct the probe.
