Horrific, indeed!

We know this is going to come as a bit of a surprise, but declarations by our wannabe dictator and his secretary of war crimes of never-before-seen battlefield successes in Iran have been drastically overstated. When Donald declared that “never in the history of warfare has an enemy suffered such clear and devastating large-scale losses” and Pete Hegseth boasted that Operation Epic Fury rendered Iran “combat-ineffective for years to come,” they clearly never intended for anyone to actually corroborate their claims.

What’s important to remember is this: while we definitely already completely and totally obliterated Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities last summer, we also had no choice but to launch a preemptive war earlier this year, because Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. And even though the entire Iranian military has now been wiped out, they’ve somehow already recovered, so we reserve the right to start bombing them again at any time to preempt the Iranian military from attacking us. Got it?

Wow, it’s almost like austerity and slashing public services are policy choices and not the inevitable, responsible fiscal management that Republicans breathlessly make them out to be.
