Less than a day after getting roundly booed at a college football game in *checks notes* TENNESSEE, a spectator at Medinah Country Club yelled that Trump was a “fucking pedophile” on live TV. You can tell that Trump both heard and was clearly upset by the barb, because he started his speech by whining, “You know, the fake news media will say I got a very bad reception. But, uhh, we got a good reception. They love what we’re doing. The country’s doing great.”

Furthermore, Morris’ new polling data shows a net loss of support for the MAGA cult leader after he floated the proposal. Not only do voters not believe Trump’s check bribe will ever actually materialize, but the ruse itself has actually cost him votes.

According to his own US ambassador, the president of the United States offered to sell American weapons to…China’s Xi Jinping last week, amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East and widely held suspicions that China is providing intelligence and material assistance to Iran.
Also, the United States is far and away the largest military supporter of and arms supplier to Taiwan, which has been locked in a decades-long conflict with mainland China over its tenuous independence. So…we’re just going to arm everyone with lethal US weapons and see who’s left standing when the kablooey smoke clears?
Trump’s deputy chief of staff eviscerated for tone-deaf champagne-popping AI post — by fellow Republicans
White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino thought now would be a good time to share some bona fide “let them eat cake” AI slop, with his own boss under siege over the ongoing affordability crisis and a referendum midterm election just around the corner.
Scavino shared an AI video depicting him in a tuxedo, sloshing champagne with his wife, Erin Elmore, and Lara Trump, while riding in a golden luggage cart being pushed by Eric Trump, set to the Pitbull song, “Don’t Stop the Party.” Seriously. Scavino “joked” it was footage taken from the State Dinner last week when Chinese President Xi Jinping was in town.
The blowback — from all sides — was swift. Sarah Longwell, an anti-Trump Republican who founded The Bulwark, called it “Real fall of Rome shit,” while conservative commentator Meghan McCain noted, “One of my friends couldn’t afford (an) air conditioner this summer.”

Republican governor candidate Steve Hilton outlines his plan for English-Only schools in California
Steve Hilton, the British-born Republican nominee for governor of California, seems to think a white, nativist, “English-only” language mandate in public schools is just the winning strategy that will catapult him to victory in the most racially diverse state in the continental US.
Hilton, who is running roughly 25 points behind Democrat Xavier Becerra, previously served as director of strategy to conservative UK Prime Minister David Cameron 15 years ago. “Well, look, the problem is it’s not just people with a second language, it’s hardly anyone can speak English properly because our schools are such a disaster…And this is our country! We speak English here!” Hilton, who became a US citizen in 2021, proclaimed.

The misuse of public funds continued apace this weekend as the White House used taxpayer money to re-run old campaign ads from 2024 in a desperate attempt to recapture the mojo that propelled Donald Trump to victory against Kamala Harris.
In addition to being wildly unethical and illegal, it also represents a fundamental misread of the situation. Trump won in 2024 because people hated the Biden economy and the slow pace of the post-pandemic economic recovery, which Trump has now made exponentially worse with his disastrous war of choice against Iran.
It also doesn’t really make any sense. The ad vows to expel “warmongers” from the government and to take on the “deep state.” Are we supposed to forget that Trump has been president for two years? That’s you, dog! You’re the warmonger in the White House! Expel yourself!
Food banks facing unprecedented demand as food and diesel costs continue to rise
Despite the MAGA cult leader’s delusional proclamations claiming otherwise, the cost of groceries is rising ever higher, pinching tens of millions of Americans and pushing the nation’s food banks to the brink as they struggle to keep up with surging demand.
In a newly-released study called the “Hunger Report,” the Washington, DC-based Capital Area Food Bank did not mince its words: “The state of food security more broadly is deteriorating.”
But sure, Donald, we’re still “the hottest country in the world” and everything was far worse under Joe Biden. Got it.
