Mission creeps: Trump regime orders troops from 82nd Airborne Division to deploy to Middle East

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump outed by MAGA ally in ongoing airport debacle
Republican senator and part-time Foghorn Leghorn impersonator John Kennedy took to the Fox News airwaves and just gave away the game, openly admitting that Donald Trump had a clear opportunity to end the partial government shutdown embroiling air travel in America but killed it out of childish spite. Kennedy explained that Senate Majority Leader John Thune presented the president with a relatively straightforward, two-step plan to reopen the government and fund the Department of Homeland Security, but was rejected by Trump because accepting the offer would mean dealing with Senate Democrats.
“It would have worked,” Kennedy admitted. “We could’ve had TSA paid by the end of the week, but the president said ‘no deal.'” By Republicans’ own admission, the sole impediment to bringing air travel back to normal for tens of millions of Americans is MAGA’s man of the people, a 79-year-old malcontent billionaire with gold-plated toilets who’s never stood in a TSA security line in his life.
Iran insists talks are not taking place in mocking response to Trump’s 15-point peace plan: “You are negotiating with yourselves”
Donald Trump’s scattershot bid to extricate the United States from yet another protracted and catastrophic war of choice in the Middle East was met with mockery and derision by Iran, which brushed off the wannabe dictator’s 15-point peace plan, accusing the Trump regime of negotiating with itself. In a scathing video statement, the Iranian military publicly and directly rebuffed claims by Trump that negotiations are underway to end the conflict and suggested Washington is attempting to “save face” after setbacks in the region. “Has the level of your internal conflict reached the point where you are negotiating with yourselves?” spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari mocked. “Do not call your defeat an agreement,” he added.

Anti-corruption crusader takes on one of the most corrupt Republicans in Congress
Paige Cognetti for Congress: Paige Cognetti was elected mayor of Scranton, PA, on a platform of cleaning up the grift and the graft that sapped away so many important public resources. She did such a good job that PA voters re-elected her twice — and now she’s going to do the same in Congress. So devoted to anti-corruption that she won’t even use a government car, she is in a perfect position to take out Republican Rob Bresnahan, who got elected promising to end insider trading and then immediately became one of the most prolific insider traders in Congress. Will you chip in to help Paige Cognetti clean up Republican corruption and flip the House blue?
Democrat flips seat in special election for Florida district that includes Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort
In yet another stinging rebuke, Donald Trump’s neighbors in Palm Beach County just elected Democrat Emily Gregory to an open state House seat Republicans carried by nearly 20 points less than two years ago. Trump had endorsed Gregory’s Republican rival, Jon Maples, who he claimed was backed “by so many of my Palm Beach County friends.” Obviously not nearly enough! Tuesday’s triumph was just the latest in a series of lopsided or improbable victories in special elections across the country since the MAGA cult leader returned to the White House, a trend we must ensure continues all the way through November and beyond.

Pete Hegseth’s pastor says he wants Democrat James Talarico to die
Cool, cool, cool. Brooks Potteiger, an evangelical pastor and very Christ-like spiritual adviser to Sec. of War Crimes Pete Hegseth, was caught sharing his incredibly Christian thoughts and feelings on the meteoric rise of Texas Democrat James Talarico on a podcast last week. Responding to “Reformation Red Pill” host Joshua Haymes, a former pastoral intern at Potteiger’s church, who opined, “I pray that God kills [Talarico],” Hegseth’s soul guru concurred, adding, “Right, right. We want him crucified with Christ.”
Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian running for US Senate in the Lone Star State, has drawn the fiery ire of Potteiger and Haymes for taking Jesus’ teachings of love and compassion just a little too seriously. Hegseth’s fire-and-brimstone bros are clearly more into the vengeful side of God, calling Talarico “the kind of guy you pray imprecatory psalms against.” An imprecatory psalm is a fancy word for a biblical prayer that invokes God’s judgment, curses, or destruction upon enemies. Literally.
Last May, Hegseth brought Potteiger to the Pentagon to lead a prayer service, during which he hailed Trump as a divinely appointed leader. At the time, the defense secretary said he wanted to make the prayer service a monthly event in the government building. Comforting, no?

Judge issues arrest warrant for former Republican governor
In this week’s episode of “Couldn’t Happen to a More Deserving Schmuck,” former Kentucky governor and evergreen cave troll Matt Bevin was found in contempt of court after the ex-governor ignored repeated orders by Jefferson Family Court Judge Angela Johnson to provide personal financial records in a child support case involving his adopted 19-year-old son, Jonah Bevin. Matt Bevin had been ordered to appear in the courtroom, but instead, he joined via Zoom, because the rules obviously don’t apply to him. Bevin did not say where he was dialing in from, but this was the second time the ex-governor appeared in court via Zoom after being told to show up in person.
Johnson had clearly had enough. “Your arrest warrant will be issued today,” she told Bevin. Johnson then issued a written order for his arrest and sentenced him to 60 days in jail unless he posts a $500 cash bond and submits “financial records, bank statements, tax returns, and all other documents that would show the receipt of income.”
Bevin is currently embroiled in an ongoing divorce case with his ex-wife, Glenna Bevin. Meanwhile, his estranged son Jonah, whom Kentucky’s former first couple adopted from Ethiopia in 2012, alleges that the former governor used him to “boost” his 2015 gubernatorial campaign. Matt Bevin served one term as governor, losing his reelection bid to Andy Beshear. To quote Andy, “He ain’t like us.”
DOJ accidentally gave Congress “damning evidence” against Trump, Jamie Raskin says
Donald Trump absconded with classified documents related to his private business interests from the White House in 2021, according to materials the Justice Department apparently accidentally provided to the House Judiciary Committee. Oops! Rep. Jamie Raskin, the committee’s top Democrat, suggested in a letter to US Attorney General Pam Bondi that the new documents were handed over by mistake in a slapdash effort to discredit the dormant criminal case against the MAGA cult leader. To be fair, when you’re covering up this many crimes, it can get a little confusing.

Senate Dem accuses Trump regime of “mind blowing corruption” after mysteriously timed $1.5 billion stock trade tied to Iran war
What?! Donald Trump and his gilded goon squad are engaged in brazen war profiteering? You mean to tell us the guy who once called an utterly flattened Gaza a “beautiful piece of property” that he could turn into the “Riviera of the Middle East” would facilitate or engage in a brazen grift to reap billions on “speculative” trades tied to his war of choice with Iran? You don’t say!
GOP senator says giving Trump $200 billion to fight Iran is “America First”
To paraphrase: “We’re not saying you’re not stupid. We’re just saying it makes perfect sense as long as you definitely don’t think about it.”
Pete Hegseth said the US bombed a “drug camp” in Ecuador. It was actually a dairy farm
In early March, the Trump regime announced that it had participated in bombing a drug-trafficking base in Ecuador in yet another extrajudicial killing mission in foreign land. Like so many of the innocent fishermen who were murdered by Trump and Pete Hegseth’s boat bombings, the victims at this “drug camp” turned out to be dairy farmers, according to local residents. At the direction of the White House, Ecuadorean military units bombed the farm and then tortured the workers there. “It’s an outrage,” said the owner, Miguel, stepping over his dead chickens. “It’s a lie that 50 people trained here. Where are they going to train? Out here in the open? There’s no logic.” Everywhere the Trump administration goes, needless death and violence follow, and the victims are almost always innocent people. This poor farmer’s life was ruined by a pedophile protector and an alcoholic ex-TV personality thousands of miles away just so some skinhead White House intern could make a clever meme to “own the libtards” on right-wing social media. So good to be great again.
It’s getting better
It can’t get no worse
Hope…
