Bipartisan group of senators call for probe into DOJ’s Epstein files redactions
A group of bipartisan US senators just called for the Government Accountability Office to investigate the Trump Justice Department over its release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and the redactions within the documents, which have sparked outrage and accusations of a blatant cover-up. In a masterclass of government transparency, the DOJ released some Epstein files with the victims’ faces and email addresses unredacted, while the names of their alleged abusers remain blacked out — because apparently “protecting the innocent” means something very different depending on your net worth.
“This horrific scandal is one where powerful, wealthy men groomed, abused, and raped young women, men, and children,” the senators’s statement read. “It is critical to understand what led to DOJ’s failure to redact the victims’ information and re-victimize those individuals while violating the Epstein Files Transparency Act in its redactions of information related to their alleged abusers.” Uh, we have a pretty good idea what led to it.

Oh, we also bombed a school — killing somewhere in the neighborhood of 175 innocent civilians, mostly children — 77 healthcare facilities, and 65 other schools. Job well done?

Epstein accountant reveals estate settlement with woman who also accused Trump
Oh, hey. Look who ain’t going away? During a close-door House deposition, Jeffrey Epstein’s former accountant Richard Kahn admitted that the late pedophile sex trafficker paid a settlement to a woman who also accused Donald Trump of sexually abusing her. Kahn did not say how much the settlement was, who received it, or when it was paid, but Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna said the House Oversight Committee is “exploring” interviewing the unnamed victim.
