Trump demands ICE restart traffic stops hours after agency ordered a reprieve following deadly Maine shooting
Hours after his own administration announced a badly needed reprieve for the very traffic stops that led to the killing of two innocent men this past week, Donald Trump pitched a fit and demanded his brute squad stay the course. The wannabe dictator took to Truth Social on Wednesday morning to declare that the “men and women of ICE are doing a GREAT job” and vowed that any change in policy would not happen on his watch. “Keep those Crime Stat Records coming!” he thumb-smashed.
Federal immigration agents have killed 11 people since Trump returned to office, “crime stat records” that will most certainly keep coming if Donald gets his way.

Sen. Jon Ossoff claims most GOP lawmakers “privately” believe Trump has “lost it”
Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff (GA) told reporters yesterday that most congressional Republicans privately admit that Donald Trump “has lost it” and is likely steering their party off an electoral cliff, a sentiment they still won’t dare utter in public for fear of ending their careers. This, ahead of the wannabe dictator’s big primetime speech scheduled for Thursday night, wherein he will proclaim for the Epsteinth time that he definitely won Georgia — and the general election — in 2020. Expect nothing but applause and servile nods of approval from the clown caucus, though. In today’s GOP, acknowledging the truth is an act of courage, and, well, courage just doesn’t pair well with fealty.

Anti-corruption crusader takes on one of the most corrupt Republicans in Congress
Page Cognetti for Congress: Paige Cognetti was elected mayor of Scranton, PA, on a platform of cleaning up the grift and the graft that sapped away so many important public resources. She did such a good job that Pennsylvania voters re-elected her twice — and now she’s aiming to do the same in Congress. So devoted to anti-corruption that she won’t even use a government car, Cognetti is in a perfect position to take out Republican Rob Bresnahan, who got elected promising to end insider trading and then immediately became one of the most prolific insider traders in Congress. Will you chip in to help Paige Cognetti clean up Republican corruption and flip the House blue?
E. Jean Carroll finally receives $5.6 million from Trump in sexual abuse and defamation case
Now for a bit of welcomed news. Donald Trump has FINALLY been held somewhat accountable for one of the many, many reported instances of sexual assault the vile misanthrope has committed in his 80 years on Earth. Yesterday, E. Jean Carroll received $5.625 million from an escrow account the philanderer-in-chief was forced to set up when a jury found him credibly liable for rape and defamation in a civil suit filed by the journalist and author. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million damages at the time, which Trump of course fought tooth and nail to avoid paying until yesterday. The total sum included three years’ worth of interest. Tsk, tsk.

Tuberculosis outbreak at Colorado ICE jail sickens at least 12 detainees
At least 12 people detained at a federal immigration jail in Colorado have contracted tuberculosis in recent days, according to testimony from inside the facility where dozens of others have reportedly been placed in quarantine. Add infecting people with deadly communicable disease to the litany of grievous offenses Donald Trump’s ICE goons are committing against their fellow people.

It sure looks like Trump was the culprit who damaged the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool
Donald Trump’s no-bid, $16 million, “indestructible” reflecting pool renovation on the National Mall almost immediately began peeling and gave way to yet another pesky algae bloom, an embarrassing self-own he laughably blamed on phantom, box-cutter-wielding vandals, including a 67-year-old former Olympian.
The pool has been drained again to repair the repair, and surprise, surprise, there are no signs of any knife marks, let alone a “350-foot gash.” What can be seen, however, are tire tracks left behind by the nincompoop-in-chief’s 10-ton presidential limo and accompanying motorcade, which drove over the newly coated surface on Trump’s orders because walking was obviously beneath him.
Bodycam footage reveals GOP governor pressuring cop to let him go
Nevada’s Republican governor, Joe Lombardo flashed his “Rules For Thee, Not For Me” card during a traffic stop after running a red light in Las Vegas, and damned if it didn’t get him out of trouble. Must be nice.

Mike Johnson tells reporters “I don’t know anything” about latest fatal ICE shooting: “You guys can mock me”
Add this week’s fatal ICE shooting in Maine to the long list of headline-making current events that pipsqueaker of the House Mike Johnson is too busy to be bothered to brush up on. Speaking to reporters yesterday, Johnson said, “I don’t know anything about this event, OK? I was a little busy yesterday. So I’m going to reserve judgment. You guys can mock me for not knowing that. I worked about 22 hours in the last few days and I did not get the briefing on that.”
Oh, don’t worry, Mike! We most certainly will mock you. You’re only second in line for the presidency. How could you possibly be expected to know anything about the horrors being perpetrated by the very federal agencies you’ve helped weaponize?
Melania’s top aide mocked over preposterous claim in TV interview
Marc Beckman, an “exclusive senior adviser” to the first lady, took to the friendly, far-right Newsmax airwaves yesterday and told viewers with a straight face that Melania Trump — yes, Melania Trump — is “the most consequential first lady in the history of our nation” on account of the work she’s done with “kids all over the place” and her influence on the peace process between Ukraine and Russia.
If this is the first time you’re hearing about Melania working with children or bringing about peace in Russia’s brutal, four-years-and-counting invasion of Ukraine, which has claimed the lives of an estimated 600,000 people, you are most certainly not alone. 🙄
Senate Democrats block $1 trillion annual defense bill in protest over Iran war
With Lindsey Graham “off the table,” Mitch McConnell AWOL, and public sentiment over the ongoing Iran debacle souring by the day, Republicans simply do not have the votes in the Senate to advance Donald Trump’s bloated National Defense Authorization Act.
As Trump’s “little excursion” in the Middle East drags on for a fifth month with no end in sight, Senate Democrats are clearly in no mood to continued writing blank checks for the wannabe dictator’s imperial adventurism. “The NDAA cannot become a permission slip for that recklessness that we see occurring in Iran,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said ahead of voting. Yesterday’s attempt to advance the NDAA fell 50-46, well short of the 60 votes needed to pass.
