Trump pitches new “Trump Promenade” on National Mall in between naps in the Oval Office
America’s nincompoop-in-chief spent yesterday afternoon nodding off in the Oval Office, stirring just long enough to pitch yet another vanity project: a walkway near the Lincoln Memorial dubbed the “Trump Promenade.” This from a man who’s famously allergic to walking, mind you.
To date, Donald has spent $2 million paving over the White House Rose Garden, $5 million gilding lion statues in gold leaf, and $13 million repainting the Reflecting Pool “American flag blue.” He’s also drawn up plans for a $100 million “Arc de Trump” near Arlington Cemetery, which he laughably claims will be paid for with funds left over from his ridiculous, billion-dollar ballroom.
The “Trump Promenade” is just the logical next step in his ongoing project to turn Washington, DC into a theme park where the theme is, of course, him.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump official makes huge Epstein miscalculation
Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent appeared before a Senate committee yesterday and — for some inexplicable reason — tried to play some sort of “gotcha!” card tying the son of Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden to the late, sex-trafficking pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
Someone in the Trump regime should probably let Bessent know that talking up an inside-the-beltway Epstein cover-up isn’t the slam dunk he thinks it is. The American public is well aware there’s an ongoing operation to shield the Epstein class from actual justice and accountability. The American public also knows exactly who’s in charge at the DOJ and who they are bending over backwards to protect.
Take Action: End gun violence for ALL Americans! Don’t build a ballroom!

You live in a crisis zone like Gaza, Sudan, or Ukraine and armed conflict breaks out in your community. You flee your home. But then, you get your period. What happens next?
USA for UNFPA: Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day and we’re shedding light on the reality that 500 million women and girls face every single day as they manage their periods during violence, natural disasters, and displacement. Far too often, these women and girls have no way to access menstrual pads, clean water, or a change of clothes, leading to intense discomfort, isolation, and even infections. That’s where UNFPA Dignity Kits come in. Each kit costs just $15 to assemble and contains everything a woman or girl needs to manage her period in a crisis: pads, laundry detergent, soap, clothing, and more. For Menstrual Hygiene Day, we’ve set a goal to deliver 15,000 UNFPA Dignity Kits to the world’s most dire crisis zones — will you chip in to deliver UNFPA Dignity Kits and lifesaving care to women and girls wherever they need help most?
Pam Bondi tells lawmakers Todd Blanche was “in charge” of “entire release” of Epstein files
It’s nearly impossible to determine where the buck actually stops in the Trump regime, where accountability is tossed around like a radioactive hot potato.

“Alligator Alcatraz” detainees say guards deny them food and clean water until they sign documents they can’t understand
Detainees at Florida’s notorious “Alligator Alcatraz” immigration jail said guards were denying them food and fresh water on Thursday until they signed documents presented to them in English that they did not understand.
In an audio recording of a telephone call to an immigration advocacy group heard by The Guardian, more than half a dozen detainees alleged that the water given to them over the last three days was “rotten” and containing mosquito larvae, in an apparent attempt to pressure them to sign. One detainee said he and others had been complaining for several days about the quality of the water they had been given, and on Thursday morning chants of “agua, agua” broke out when it was withheld altogether.
It is so good to be great again.
Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner rejects new allegations of abusive behavior
Yesterday afternoon, The New York Times published a story in which a woman, Lindsey Fifield, accused Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner of grabbing and twisting her arm and standing in a doorway menacingly blocking her exit sometime between 2013 and 2015. The Times could not corroborate any of her accusations, but ran the story anyway, along with allegations from a few other women that Graham Platner could be unsettling, had dark thoughts, and generally had spooky vibes as a boyfriend.
In super interesting and related news, Drop Site News’ Ryan Grim revealed that Fifield is a Heritage Foundation staffer, co-founded the “Ladies for Kavanaugh” group, and personally lobbied GOP Sen. Susan Collins to confirm the credibly accused sexual predator to join the Supreme Court.
On top of all that, Fifeld also has a long history of making up and pushing outrageous lies about Mahmoud Khalil and other Palestinians and Palestinian-Americans targeted by the Trump regime. Oh, her right-wing lunatic friend Bethany Mandel, also admitted that Fifeld is the “anonymous source” who leaked the original stories about Platner’s infamous tattoo.
To recap, we have uncoroborrated accusations of violent behavior by Platner from a lifelong Republican operative and Susan Collins supporter with a long history of lying. Sure feels like this is Al Franken 2.0. We can’t let them get away with it again.
Take Action: Chip in to help Graham Platner fight these smears and defeat Susan Collins!
Senate OKs $70 billion immigration bill after rejecting efforts to permanently ban Trump’s insurrection slush fund
Senate Republicans narrowly advanced a $70 billion bill early this morning to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol for the next three years after staving off multiple amendments that would have permanently killed off the MAGA cult leader’s reprehensible insurrection slush fund.
As it now stands, ICE and CBP will be given gobs of money to continue terrorizing marginalized communities through the end of Trump’s term while the rest of us will just have to take acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s good-for-nothing word that Dear Leader’s slush fund is dead in the swamp water. Priorities, eh?
Hunter Biden trolls Trump over Epstein “bromance” after president takes swipe at his troubled past
Hunter Biden, who just celebrated seven years of sobriety after nearly killing himself with a debilitating crack cocaine and alcohol addiction, has been making viral waves lately with one irreverent response after another to online trolls and rabble-rousers trying to make him the punchline in their tired barbs. Even Trump tried to get in a dig, which didn’t exactly go as planned.
When Fox News’ Peter Doocy lobbed the president a softball question about Hunter one day occupying the Oval Office, Mr. Grab ‘Em by the P*ssy brought up Hunter’s troubled history and laughably intimated that a candidate’s “past has something to do with winning an election.”
Biden responded a short time later, tweeting, “Wait… Did he just say checkered past? I’m 28 felonies, 6 bankruptcies, and an Epstein bromance short of his checkered past.”
Your move, Donnie!

Trump now says Bill Pulte won’t be director of national intelligence permanently
Welp, that didn’t last long! Trump told reporters on Thursday that his controversial and remarkably unqualified pick for acting director of national intelligence, Bill Pulte, won’t be nominated to the role permanently, and that his team is currently interviewing other candidates to formally fill the position. Maybe someone whose resume indicates some actual intelligence? And preferably someone who DIDN’T organize a dildo face-slapping soirée?
